The 2011 U City in Bloom Garden Tour
September 18, 2011 Mother Nature decided to provide us with some much needed rain on the day of the tour but it didn't dampen the spirits of the many visitors that turned out to see some of University City's finest gardens. A sweep of colorful perennials, the sound of a fountain cooling the heat of the afternoon, a community garden jointly maintained by neighbors, a serene green oasis tucked in off a busy street, a Japanese Koi Pond, an artist's garden, and a garden with model trains... the tour included all of that and so much more. We are grateful to all that came and to the many volunteers that gave of their time and talent to make this Garden Tour such a tremendous success. Thank you to the homeowners and gardeners that allowed us a glimpse of their very special gardens.
