Scotch Pine – Pinus sylvestris

Scotch pine is native to northern Europe and Asia, but has naturalized to northeast and northcentral US, and is the only pine native to Great Britain. While individual specimens vary according to their growing location, in general they display twisted blue-green 3 inch long needles in bundles of two, gray or brown cones, and scaly orange bark on upper branches and reddish below.
