Southern Magnolia – Magnolia grandiflora ‘Bracken’s Brown Beauty’

Southern or evergreen magnolia has leathery, evergreen leaves which are glossy-green. The Bracken’s brown beauty cultivar has white cup-shaped flowers which appear sparsely throughout the summer and are replaced in fall by 3-inch cone-like structures which produce individual red seeds. It is disease and insect free, tolerant of urban conditions and is often planted as a specimen flowering tree.
