Garden at the Harriet Woods Civic Plaza

Garden at the Harriet Woods Civic Plaza

U City in Bloom designs, plants and maintains the flower gardens at Centennial Commons, Heman Park Pool, the University City Public Library, the Centennial Gardens at City Hall, street medians along Olive Blvd. as well as many others around the city. UCB was honored to have contributed the design for the Harriett Woods Memorial Garden.  Most recently, planters were also added to Olive Blvd.

U City in Bloom cares for flower gardens at each of the University City elementary schools including the Butterfly Memorial Garden at Flynn Park, the middle school and the high school.

Our staff and volunteers also plant and maintain more than one hundred decorative planters that line the street along both sides of the Delmar Loop, adding splashes of color to a wonderfully vibrant area.

Our gardening practices are focused on sustainability and use of native perennials, annuals, shrubs and trees.

U City in Bloom is in the planning stages of developing areas that may serve as Monarch Butterfly Waystations to help this threatened species.
