U City in Bloom is seeking skilled gardeners and horticulturists to apply to be part of our dedicated team.
You have seen our shirts at conventions, or heard about some of the great things we are doing, but what actually is U City in Bloom? We are an excellent success story and example of a grassroots effort to make a community greater through green beautification. Our team of staff and volunteers are community members and mission driven team players who promote the value of green spaces and bridge the important gaps in community entities, city government and local and regional citizens. U City in Bloom is a non-profit model of how a community can have world class gardens and greenspaces even as parks and beautification budgets suffer cuts and shortages. Most importantly we are people who care and are invested in our work. We want our community members to know they matter.
Our small team of staff is looking for an addition who is self-motivated, organized and passionate about plants, gardens and their work. You will work closely with volunteers and community members in public garden spaces throughout University City. Full-time employees will be entitled to paid vacation and personal time and a health care allowance as well as some flexibility to scheduling their workweek.
